Policy 13 - Compliance with the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
The University is subject to the requirements and standards for minimum wages, maximum hours, overtime pay, and equal pay as set forth in the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). The University has adopted the Wage-Hour Policy outlined in the North Carolina Office of State Personnel Manual, Section 7, Hours of Work and Overtime Compensation.
Failure to comply with the Wage-Hour Policy can subject the University to possible legal consequences and monetary liability.
